We had a great turnout for the Boy Scout Outing. Thanks to RD Round for arranging this outing for the boys. Thanks to Brandon and Linda Foss, Ben and Paula Crain, Lonnie Taylor, Randy Mingus, Mike Masker, Ilene Lewis, and RD for coming to help.

A special thanks to Sally and Henry Kichelmann for coming to give a talk on the history of Pinon, Colorado. I thought I was taping the whole talk. Found out halfway through I had pushed the wrong button so there is only half of the talk.

This is your club. Come and be involved!!

At the Meeting

We had 4 new members come to the meeting. It is nice to see new faces. 2 of the members each have families.

November birthdays are Lee, Lester, Patty, and Paula.

Since we are not going to have a meeting in December, December birthdays are Brandon, Bruce, Mike S., and Ilene

Calvin stated that the LR2000 had been discontinued because the GPS coordinates were incorrect. This has been corrected and is in the process of coming back online.

Randy stated that he had checked into a member being deputised to help with claim jumpers. Such person would have to go through the 6 week training course and be available for all kinds of calls.

Judy stated that as of December 1, GPAA Lifetime memberships will no longer be available.

Lonnie stated he has a Gold Magic for sale for $40.

We discussed the Christmas party whick will be held on December 9 at 6pm at the Community Center. This will be a pot luck so bring a dish to share. You will also need to bring your own place setting and drink. The gift exchange will be a man to man and a woman to woman. If you bring a child, bring a child's gift. Gift limit is $15.

Congratulations to Lonnie for winning the door prize nugget.
