We had a great turnout for the Boy Scout Outing. Thanks to RD Round for arranging this outing for the boys. Thanks to Brandon and Linda Foss, Ben and Paula Crain, Lonnie Taylor, Randy Mingus, Mike Masker, Ilene Lewis, and RD for coming to help.
A special thanks to Sally and Henry Kichelmann for coming to give a talk on the history of Pinon, Colorado. I thought I was taping the whole talk. Found out halfway through I had pushed the wrong button so there is only half of the talk.

Mindy will check to see if we can have the Camp Wapiyapi Fundraiser at the Delta WalMart on May 5
The Grand Junction Gem and Mineral Show will be May 12 & 13 at Two Rivers Convention Center in Grand Junction. We will need volunteers to help man the booth and panning tubs.
The Delta Rock and Gem Show will be June 2 at Bill Heddles Rec Center in Delta. Calvin stated he received a request to have us do a booth at Heritage Days at Confluence Park again. It was voted to do both again. We will need volunteers for both events.
Ilene received a request from the Delta Rock Wranglers to do a panning and sluicing demo at their next meeting on April 5. Calvin said he would do it.
Calvin stated there is a group going before the EPA to represent the small gold miners. He will keep us informed.
He also stated that BLM is going to start checking the corner markers on the claims. He and some others are going to check to make sure they are all still there for the claim owners.
Dick said he thinks we should eliminate the MIGS program. There was quite a discussion. It will be discussed at the next board meeting.
The next regular meeting will be April 19. See you there.
