This is your club. Come and be involved!!
We had 2 new members attend. Welcome to Jerry Wright and Jerret Hausner. Steve Ware's wife Leticia came with him. Welcome. Welcome back to Rod Warner and Mike Mathes.
Happy birthday this month to Jerry Brown, Cindy Shults, and Doug Molone.
Jerry Wright won the nugget. Congratulations!!
BLM has a new website which will replace the LR2000. It is www.blm.gov/MLRS
It is online however, Dick said it isn't very good.
Our Vice President, Doug is moving back to Iowa and our Treasurer, Ilene is resigning after 22 years. Therefore, we must have an election in March to replace them in order to have a quorum. If you are interested in either of those positions, please let us know. You must be a current GPAA member to hold an office. BE THERE TO CAST YOUR VOTE OR YOU JUST MIGHT GET ELECTED IN YOUR ABSENCE.
Dave was unable to attend due to his kids being under quarantine. That makes the whole family under quarantine. Gerry stepped up and did the door prizes. Thank you so much Gerry!!!
Ilene said she received a call from Bob at the Delta Rock Wranglers asking if we are going to have a booth at their rock and gem show on June 5th. Lonnie made a motion and Steve 2nd the motion to have a booth.
Dick said he received a request to teach a class in Nucla how to pan for gold. The outing will be on the 17th of March and there will be 16 kids. We need volunteers to help.
Dick asked if anyone had any ideas for outings. Doug said he thoght it would be interesting to go to an old mine and crush rock from the tailings pile. Several members said they have a rock crusher or could get one. Of course, we would have to get permission and not trespass.
See you next month!!
This is a great video on how to process gold concentrates.
