This is your club. Come and be involved!!
Ben Crain and Kim Johnson were united in marriage on April 7, 2021. Congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy life together.
We had one guest. Cody Nobles came with his father, Calvin.
Birthdays this month are Matt Dolan and Tony Romero.
Welcome back to Dave, RD, and Dennis!
Ben was out after having dental work. Get well soon.
Jerry went prospecting and had trouble with his dredge so he ended up using a shovel and pan. He still got some good gold.
Leticia said the paperwork on their 2 new claims was done.
Debbie asked what we can do about the 4 memberships we can't sell. There was a long discussion. Dick said he would give it another try.
Ben went to see a gentleman who has a bunch of equipment, wet suits, and concentrates for sale. Dick discussed having the club buy some of the cons. No decision was made.
Dick won the cooler which replaced the nugget. We need to purchase more nuggets.
See you next month!!
We received a request from Garrett Smith, Director of the Telluride Institute Watershed Education Program. The Naturita elementary 4th grade students have been studying the Colorado Gold Rush and would like to learn how to pan for gold and would we be willing to teach them.
So, today, St. Patty's Day, 7 club members went to a beautiful place on the San Miguel and had fun with the students and their teacher digging in the river and then panning for the gold. It was a beautiful, sunny day. Photos
This is a great video on how to process gold concentrates.
